Dubbed as the next generation of sound; Monster’s new NCredible N-Tune headphones have the great look and monster sound. That sounds great if you like to listen to music or watch videos either on the go or just chilling.
Considering their glossy finish, detailing and the Superman-like NCredible logo along with the prominence of the bass they produce the N-Tune headphones are clearly targeted at the youth market. Available in a range of colours, we reviewed the candy grape purple – a lovely sleek and bright colour.
The rubber-padded headband is adjustable and comfortable and I found the on-ear cans of the N-Tunes a lot more comfortable than I expected. What really impressed me, was the fact that the N-Tunes offer excellent incidental noise cancellation because of their snug fit. By the same token, sound leaks are kept to a minimum, even at high volumes.
In the box, Monster supply you with the N-Tune headphones, a 1m cable, cleaning cloth, small carry bag, some documentation and a cool N-Credible sticker. The cable includes a built-in controller with a microphone so it can be used to field phone calls, the control is used to play/pause using the single button but doesn’t include buttons for altering volume.
The N-Tunes sound as good as you’d expect them to given they are a Monster product. N-Tunes sound as good as they look – rich and full; midtones and highs are crisp and well isolated, and if you use an equaliser to tone down the bass, they can stand their ground against anything within the same price range. I use the N-Tunes while travelling and they are now my new favourite – easy to carry, look nice, light weight and great sound.
Monster have knocked another out the park as per usual – sleek and comfortable; sounds as good as it looks. With a price tag of £129.95 (click here if you want one), these are well worth considering for your next headphone upgrade.
